Solomon Egberine is the NEW Australian Light Welterweight Champion.

Mick Shaw fought one of the bravest fights of his life but was out gunned and out muscled in a crowd pleasing main event at the Broncos Leagues Club.

Egberine has now called out Lenny Zappavigna and any other Australian fighters to take up the challenge.

Mick Shaw although defeated proved once again why he was awarded the ABF forums People's Champion Belt.

AFL Superstar Simon Black was ringside for the entire night and was on hand to present the Australian title belt.

In the Semi Main Event of the evening Cyclone Tongia proved his lift in weight to be a fruitful one with a solid performance of Kashi Mumtaz who won plenty of fans with his skillful effort.

He told ACE Boxing after his second KO win against Stone Gogosina that he is ready to fight anyone Australia has to offer...Houmono - Hopoate - Wilson even Welliver from the US. He also said he has retired every person he has fought - all except Alex Leapai and would welcome the chance to put the Lionheart on the boxing pension if they fought again!
